Seniors, this is what you've been asking for! Check out the links listed below for special search tips and valuable information on general and program-specific scholarships which may be available to you.

Getting Started

Before starting your search, take a personal inventory and make a list of your personal attributes, academic record, talents, work experience and affiliations. Do the same for your parents - this will help you in your search.

Where to begin Your Search:

  • Your high school guidance office and/or their website.
  • The financial planning office at YTI Career Institute.
  • Parent Eligibility: scholarships may be offered through their prior military service, employer, union, trade association, etc.
  • Student Eligibility: scholarships may be offered through your previous or current jobs, clubs, ancestry, religion, etc.
  • The Internet. There are several great websites specifically designed to assist you in finding scholarships:

National groups, stores and organizations often provide scholarship information on their websites. When visiting these websites, avoid scholarship scams by making sure you look for scholarship information on that site.

Imagine America Foundation
The Imagine America Foundation (IAF) has been serving the career college community since 1982 and provides high school scholarships for graduating seniors, scholarships for adults and grants for military. Scholarship Search for Lancaster

Altrusa International of South Central PA
Scholarship program for those enrolled or aspiring to enroll in a post-secondary education program. Residence status in Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry, or York county required. Contact the Educational Funding department for more information.

American Culinary Federation Education Foundation
The American Culinary Federation Education Foundation offers educational scholarships to high school students, college students, apprentices and professional chefs looking to further their education. Visit http://www.acfchefs.org/ACF/Education/Scholarships/ACF/Education/Scholarships/ for details.

Association of Certified Fraud Examiners-Ritchie Jennings Memorial Scholarship
Availability/Requirements: Available to students majoring in accounting, business, finance or criminal justice at an accredited four-year college or university and are enrolled in at least 9 semester hours (or equivalent) per term. Visit www.acfe.com for more details.

Community General Hospital Foundation June A. Roedel Healthcare Scholarship of Berks County Community Foundation
Availability/Requirements: The Foundation's purpose is to help residents of Berks County undertake or further their careers in healthcare by providing funds for their educational expenses. Visit https://bccf.academicworks.com/opportunities/1250 for more information.

Dental Assisting Scholarship - American Dental Association
Availability/Requirements: This scholarship is available to students entering the dental assisting field. Student must be enrolled in a dental assisting program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation, demonstrate a minimum financial need of $1000, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Imagine America Foundation
The Imagine America Foundation (IAF) has been serving the career college community since 1982 and provides high school scholarships for graduating seniors, scholarships for adults and grants for military. James Beard Foundation Scholarship Program
Availability/Requirements: The foundation awards several scholarships based on such factors as grade point average, extracurricular activities including work experience, letters of recommendation, and financial need. Visit www.jamesbeard.org for more information.

Lancaster County Foundation Scholarship
Availability/Requirements: Individual must be a resident of Lancaster County with a GPA of 2.5. Visit https://www.lancfound.org/grants/ for more information.

National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation Scholarship
Availability/Requirements: Available to students who have at least a 2.75 GPA and have a minimum of 750 hours of restaurant work experience. Visit http://www.nraef.org/scholarships/ for more information.

Nurse.org
Healthcare Leaders Scholarship is now accepting applications for the 2017 award. Visit www.nurse.org/resources/nurse-practitioner/#scholarship to apply.

RevPart's 2020 Spring STEM Scholarship
RevPart is proud to support the next generation of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) students by providing a scholarship of $1,000 to a student demonstrating excellent promise in their area of study. School Nutrition Association Scholarship

StraightForward Media Medical Scholarship
Availability/Requirements: The StraightForward Media Medical Scholarship is available to students pursuing medical professions. Four scholarships are awarded each year. Visit http://www.straightforwardmedia.com/scholarships/index.php for more information.

The Greater Philadelphia Hotel Association Scholarship
Availability/Requirements: Individual must be employed for at least six months at a GPHA member hotel or be an immediate family member of a GPHA employee. Student must also be enrolled in a program in hotel/restaurant management, hospitality management, food service or other hospitality-related program and have at least a 3.0 GPA. Scholarships are awarded to students who are currently enrolled full-time in a secondary vocational school, technical institute, or are high school seniors who are enrolled in one of the aforementioned institutes. Clifford H. "Ted" Rees, Jr. Scholarship
The Clifford H. "Ted" Rees, Jr. Scholarship Foundation was established to assist with the recruitment and competency of future heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) technicians by awarding scholarships to qualified students who are enrolled in an institutionally accredited school.

Covenco Scholarship
Availability/Requirements: Individual must be a current YTI student at the York Campus in good standing with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 and an attendance record of at least 92%. This scholarship opportunity is available annually. Interested students should contact the YTI York Student Services office for additional application information and requirements.

The PHCC Educational Foundation
Attracting new talent is essential to the future of the plumbing-heating-cooling (p-h-c) industry. The PHCC Educational Foundation and its industry partners are teaming up to identify and aid students pursuing a career in the p-h-c industry. The purpose of these six scholarship programs is to help students prepare for careers in the plumbing-heating-cooling (p-h-c) profession. Eligibility Criteria includes: A full-time certificate or degree program at an accredited two-year community college, technical college, or trade school, with a major directly related to the plumbing-heating-cooling (p-h-c) profession. Approved majors are: Business management; Mechanical CAD design; construction management with a specialty in mechanical construction; and plumbing or HVACR installation, service and repair.
