Golf Course Management Program Overview

Making a living within the golf industry is a real possibility. Golf courses and resorts across the country are looking to employ the right people with the passion for the sport of golf and the desire to help others get the most out of their leisure time.

Today's golf courses and resorts demand skilled business professionals. Golf instructors and teaching professionals are using the latest technology to assist golfers of all ages improve their game. Computer software is also used by general managers and directors of operations to manage sales, inventory, and scheduling.

Club house and pro shop personnel are responsible for the management and financial decisions that impact a customer's golf experience. These food, beverage, and retail sales positions all require smart business decisions and customer service skills.

Additional employment opportunities include assistant golf professional, sales and marketing professional, tournament organization, and golf manufacturing representative. From the pro shop to the 18th green, public and private courses offer a number of business opportunities and career paths.
