Electronics Engineering Technology Program Overview

Technology and electronics companies are looking for experienced, skilled electronics technicians and certified electronics engineers that are able to complete complex jobs safely and on time. Companies of all sizes are willing to invest in the right technicians for long term employment.

Reading wiring diagrams and schematic drawings for electronic parts assembly and repair is just one common practice of an electronics technician.

An Installation Technician might adjust and replace defective circuitry and electronics components, using hand tools and soldering iron.

Service Technicians identify, and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers and field representatives for replacement parts.

Test Technician may perform preventative maintenance and calibration of electronics equipment using standard test equipment to evaluate performance.

Engineering Technicians might be responsible for writing reports and recording data on testing techniques and laboratory equipment to assist other engineers.
