Computer Aided Drafting and Design Program Overview

Companies are searching for the right people with the Computer Drafting and Design skills to help improve products, building designs, and services.

Mechanical and Design Drafters, and Technical Engineers use 3D modeling software to create computerized layouts, models, and design drafts. These drafts, or models, will be used to produce or analyze actual structures, products, and projects.

CADD is extensively used by many industries and companies including; automotive, product manufacturing, aerospace, industrial, and many more. CADD is also widely used to produce computer animation and special effects in movies, video games, advertising and technical manuals.

Skilled drafters are working for Architectural firms and Property Development companies creating residential layouts, blueprints, and commercial building designs. There are also many employment opportunities with Civil Engineering Firms, Construction and landscape companies, healthcare facilities, and Utilities.
