ESS provides free tutoring to students:

• Tutoring can be provided for fundamental academic skills
• Tutoring can be provided for general computer literacy or specific software applications
• Tutoring can be provided for course-specific skills and content

The objective of tutoring at YTI is to help give students the tools and confidence they need to meet any coursework challenge they may encounter.

What is Remediation Tutoring?

Remediation Tutoring is tutoring that is available for students if they need a brush up on reading, writing, or mathematics prior to the start of classes. This type of tutoring is intended for those students who do not meet threshold scores on the Compass Assessment. Remediation Tutoring is available one-on-one, in small groups, or via the internet through the Learning Express Library.

Reminder to Students

If you are canceling a tutoring appointment, please inform the tutor that you have set the appointment with. You can do this either by calling the LRC, emailing your tutor, or stopping into the LRC and informing someone there.
