Before starting your search, take a personal inventory and make a list of your personal attributes, academic record, talents, work experience and affiliations. Do the same for your parents - this will help you in your search.
Where to begin Your Search:
- Your high school guidance office and/or their website.
- The financial planning office at YTI Career Institute.
- Parent Eligibility: scholarships may be offered through their prior military service, employer, union, trade association, etc.
- Student Eligibility: scholarships may be offered through your previous or current jobs, clubs, ancestry, religion, etc.
- The Internet. There are several great websites specifically designed to assist you in finding scholarships:
National groups, stores and organizations often provide scholarship information on their websites. When visiting these websites, avoid scholarship scams by making sure you look for scholarship information on that site.

Availability/Requirements: Must be a US Citizen, resident of York County, either a High School Senior or student at YTI Career Institute.
American Business Women's Association - Continental Yorktowne Chapter
Availability/Requirements: Male or female student who is a resident of York County.
ASTA Foundation, Inc
Availability/Requirements: A non-profit subsidiary of the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA), the Foundation offers over 20 scholarships for the most qualified students in a bachelors, masters, doctoral, community college or travel school program, and to travel professionals seeking to further their education. Distributive Educational Clubs of America (DECA)
Availability/Requirements: Two (2) quarter tuition scholarships enrolling in a Business related field. Applicants must be seniors enrolled in a marketing education program, complete at the PA DECA State conference, and plan to pursue a career in marketing. Contact your DECA advisor. (not all schools have a DECA Chapter or club).
Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)
Availability/Requirements: Two (2) half tuition scholarships for students enrolling in Business Administration or Computer Systems Specialist programs. High School seniors MUST be FBLA members and must speak with their advisor at school to begin the application process. (Not all schools have an FBLA chapter).
Golf Course Management Scholarship
High school seniors who are members of their high school golf team will be eligible to apply for one one-half (1/2) tuition scholarship from YTI. Also, high school seniors who are members of golf teams participating in the YTI High School Invitational Golf Tournament (student does not have to be in the starting line-up for this event) will be eligible to apply for one one-half (1/2) scholarship to the Golf Course Management program at YTI. (Note: A student will not be eligible to win more than one scholarship).
John G. Williams Scholarship LOAN

PA Cooperative Education Association
Availability/Requirements: Four (4) half tuition scholarships - (2) in Business and (2) in Technology. Students must be in a school that is officially registered through the PA Cooperative Education Association and must be a cooperative education student. Scholarships are applied through and determined by the Cooperative Education teachers and scholarship committee. The PHCC Educational Foundation
Attracting new talent is essential to the future of the plumbing-heating-cooling (p-h-c) industry. The PHCC Educational Foundation and its industry partners are teaming up to identify and aid students pursuing a career in the p-h-c industry. The purpose of these six scholarship programs is to help students prepare for careers in the plumbing-heating-cooling (p-h-c) profession. Eligibility Criteria includes: A full-time certificate or degree program at an accredited two-year community college, technical college, or trade school, with a major directly related to the plumbing-heating-cooling (p-h-c) profession. The Jorge Luis Acevedo, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund of Berks County Community Foundation Scholarship

The Clifford H. "Ted" Rees, Jr. Scholarship Foundation was established to assist with the recruitment and competency of future heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) technicians by awarding scholarships to qualified students who are enrolled in an institutionally accredited school.

NAWIC Founders' Scholarship Foundation
Each year, the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) will award over $25,000 to worthy recipients in construction-related programs. Award amounts range from $1,000 to $2,000. Applications must be postmarked by March 15th of each year to qualify for competition. All interested students enrolled in an eligible program are encouraged to apply, regardless of gender. Availability/Requirements: Individual must be a current YTI student in good standing with CGPA of 2.0 and an attendance record of at least 90%.
Federal Work Study
A student with financial need can supplement his or her educational expenses through employment in an approved on-campus or off-campus position. See YTI's Work Study Coordinator after you begin classes to learn more about openings in your particular program of study!
