Getting Started

Before starting your search, take a personal inventory and make a list of your personal attributes, academic record, talents, work experience and affiliations. Do the same for your parents - this will help you in your search.

Where to begin Your Search:

  • Your high school guidance office and/or their website.
  • The financial planning office at YTI Career Institute.
  • Parent Eligibility: scholarships may be offered through their prior military service, employer, union, trade association, etc.
  • Student Eligibility: scholarships may be offered through your previous or current jobs, clubs, ancestry, religion, etc.

NAWIC Founders' Scholarship Foundation
Each year, the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) will award over $25,000 to worthy recipients in construction-related programs. Award amounts range from $1,000 to $2,000. Applications must be postmarked by March 15th of each year to qualify for competition. All interested students enrolled in an eligible program are encouraged to apply, regardless of gender. PA New Economy Technology Scholarship Program

Primary Health Network Charitable Foundation Academic Award
The mission of the PHN Charitable Foundation is to build and support programs in the PHN service area that increases access to healthcare services and assist, through scholarships the pursuit of medical and allied heath careers.

The Academic Award is a scholarship that assists students who are pursuing a career in a health care field. The Primary Health Network Charitable Foundation awards ten (10) Academic Awards annually to local educational institutions within the Primary Health Network service area in the amount of $1,000.

To be eligible for this award a student must be currently majoring or intending on majoring in a health care field, or can be pursuing a certificate in a health care field.

Chefs4Students Scholarship

Availability/Requirements: This scholarship is available to students enrolled in a culinary school majoring in Baking and Patry Arts or Culinary Arts, are older students, and are fluent in Spanish. Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Degrees-Scholarship

Dental Assisting Scholarship - American Dental Association
Availability/Requirements: This scholarship is available to students entering the dental assisting field. James Beard Foundation Scholarship Program
Availability/Requirements: The foundation awards several scholarships based on such factors as grade point average, extracurricular activities including work experience, letters of recommendation, and financial need. Visit www.jamesbeard.org for more information.

The Jorge Luis Acevedo, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund of Berks County Community Foundation Scholarship

The PHCC Educational Foundation
Attracting new talent is essential to the future of the plumbing-heating-cooling (p-h-c) industry. The PHCC Educational Foundation and its industry partners are teaming up to identify and aid students pursuing a career in the p-h-c industry. The purpose of these six scholarship programs is to help students prepare for careers in the plumbing-heating-cooling (p-h-c) profession. Eligibility Criteria includes: A full-time certificate or degree program at an accredited two-year community college, technical college, or trade school, with a major directly related to the plumbing-heating-cooling (p-h-c) profession. Approved majors are: Business management; Mechanical CAD design; construction management with a specialty in mechanical construction; and plumbing or HVACR installation, service and repair. One test you'll want to take!

Are you an outstanding high school student who is interested in YTI's programs? YTI's Lancaster and York campuses have several YTI scholarships available for high school students graduating in 2012. To qualify, students will need to complete scholarship testing at their campus of interest:

  • January 28th at 10:00 AM at YTI-Lancaster
  • February 25th at 10:00 AM at YTI-York

In addition to the scholarship testing, we will be offering a Financial Aid Seminar for parents, tours of the campus and refreshments. High School students that have already applied to YTI are encouraged to test, however enrollment is not a requirement to take the scholarship test.
