The mission of the Learning Resource Center is to provide the information, services, and resources required to meet the needs of the students, faculty, educational programs, and institutional objectives of YTI. The Learning Resource Center facilitates the educational goals and objectives by providing instructional support resources and programs to enhance and supplement classroom instruction. The Library/LRC is an integral part of the total YTI learning environment and is committed to the development of literacy and information skills that foster life-long learning.
YTI subscribes to over 18,000 full-text periodical titles and numerous reference resources online via electronic databases such a ProQuest, LexisNexis, ReferenceUSA, OCLC Netlibrary, Worldbook Online, Learning Express Library, Gale's Small Business Resource Center and Nursing Resource Center. Students can access all electronic resources at any YTI student computer or off campus via password authentication.
The Library/LRC hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 A.M. to 8:00 P.M., Friday 7:30 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. Library assistance is available in person, via telephone, and via e-mail. Professional staff is available to assist students and faculty in the use of information resources including print, media, and electronic sources.
