The Beacon Award

YTI wants to identify members of the YTI family who best exemplify our Values in practice, those whose actions provide a guidance point - a beacon - for us all to follow. The Beacon Award has been established to recognize these individuals. Additionally, a Chairman's Award winner will be selected each year by the Chairman and Board of Managers from among the current year's Beacon Award recipients.

A Beacon Award nominee may be an employee, a student, an alumnus, or an employer, but in order to be considered for the award an individual must have demonstrated one or more of YTI's core values to a degree well above the expectations of the nominator. Our core values and some of the behaviors that reflect them in action are listed below to assist you.

As we continue to build upon YTI's proud tradition and promising future, the Beacon Award winners will lead the way. Your role as a nominator is to help us find them.
